Everything you need to know about the application process

The journey to becoming part of iHub’s 2026 program has officially begun. With Round 1 of applications now closed, it’s a good time to pause, explain what’s happening next, and make sure no one misses their chance to join.

Round 1 Recap: Who’s In the Running?

From 1–25 August 2025, we received a strong pool of applications. These are currently under review, and successful applicants will be invited to Bootcamp 1, running from 15–19 September 2025.

If you started your application before 25 August but didn’t complete all the steps, there’s still a short grace period: you have until 29 August to finish Steps 2–4. If you don’t complete them in time, don’t worry, your application will automatically roll over into the next round. But make sure you complete the application before the round 2 deadline. Round 2: The Final Call for 2026

Round 2 of applications is officially open and it’s the last chance to apply for the iHub 2026 Johannesburg program. Here’s what you need to know:

• Applications close on the 3 October 2025
• Applications completed by 8 October 2025 will be reviewed for Bootcamp 2, happening from 27–31 October 2025.
• If you’re still sitting on your application, now is the time to finish it.
• If you haven’t started, you can still apply, this is your opportunity. Start your application here.

What To Do Next

• If you’ve already applied: double-check your progress. Have you completed all four steps?
• If you finished Step 1 by 25 August, you have until 29 August to wrap up the rest for Bootcamp 1. If not, you’ll be considered for Bootcamp 2. No need to start a new application.
• If you’ve completed all the steps in Round 1, good job! We’ll be in touch soon to notify you if you’ve been selected to attend Bootcamp 1 from 15-19 September.
• If you haven’t applied yet: start now. Don’t wait until the October deadline sneaks up. This is your last chance for the 2026 cohort and the opportunity to meet your future self in the iHub program.
