Curious about what iHub Africa students are working on behind the scenes? Well, the new iHub Africa online student centre, dubbed “YellowPedia” has officially landed and gives users an all-access pass to what the 2024 students are actually “cooking”.

But what’s in it for you? Whether you’re driven by creative passion, aiming for long-term career stability, or simply focused on supporting your family, the new ‘YellowPedia’ gives you an inside look at how iHub Africa students combine Core Soft Skills (CSS) and Digital Marketing to build the future they want. You’ll get access to projects and tools where creativity meets strategy, giving you a glimpse into how these students are applying their skills to create real impact.

Get to Know the Team

This year, we have 48 young and eager individuals who are working together to demonstrate their growing technical know-how and are using it to take project briefs from idea to execution. The centre is home to nine vibrant groups, each bringing their unique talents and skills to the table.

Now, let’s introduce these dynamic teams:

• Pulse Digital Agency
  • With their slogan, “One Heartbeat,”  which embodies their commitment to harmony and collective effort; they are known for transforming even the most serious situations into memorable and exciting experiences, this team’s fun and lighthearted approach makes them a joy to work with.

• Notorious Five
  • This team is “Big on Business and Big on Play,” which captures their vibrant spirit balancing hard work with a playful approach. This team is renowned for their fearless creativity, constantly pushing boundaries and delivering outstanding results.

• Insightful Innovators
  • Their slogan is “There is order in chaos,” and reflects their belief in being proactive and having each other’s back, no matter the obstacles. This team is built on trust, support, and a shared commitment to overcoming challenges together.

• The Legend
  • Inspired by the legendary figures featured on the white wall of legends at iHub Africa, The Legend draws motivation from icons like Nelson Mandela, Winston Churchill, Che Guevara,  and Gandhi. The team believes in failing forward—using every setback as a step toward success.

• Digital Innovators
  • The Digital Innovators live up to their name, combining creativity and innovation to run successful campaigns and projects. Known for being humorous, friendly, and inclusive, the Digital Innovators create an environment that makes collaboration fun and productive.

• High Five
  • Initially “Nameless”, this group found inspiration in their five-member team to call themselves High Five. Their slogan, “We deserve to have a High 5,” reflects their belief in rewarding the hard work that comes with teamwork.

• 7/11
  • They adopted their name after three weeks of working together along with their slogan, “Work in Progress,” symbolising their commitment to flexibility and growth. Interesting fact: their ages are in numerical order, ranging from 21 to 24, adding a unique touch to their dynamic.

• Minions
  • Like the beloved animated characters, this group embraces their individuality and collaborates with unstoppable energy. The minions remind us that, “even the smallest efforts can lead to great achievements.” Despite their size, their teamwork and enthusiasm make their presence feel immense.

• S.A.L.T.
  • A dynamic team that thrives on individuality within a united front. Just like salt improves the flavour of a dish, this team enhances the value and relevance of every project they take on. Whether working on soft or hard tasks, S.A.L.T. blends perfectly in any situation.

Together, these teams showcase a rich blend of creativity, leadership, innovation, and teamwork. By combining diverse perspectives and talents, they’ve shown that collaboration leads to remarkable achievements.
