Is this the right program for me?

iHubbers are youth aged 18-30 who are, humble, hungry and smart, with a go-getter, solutions oriented mindset, and eager to grow holistically while gaining digital marketing skills to participate in a global economy. Our values are compassion, innovation, communication, diversity, integrity, excellence and personal responsibility. If this resonates with you, this may just be the program for you!

How old do I need to be?

iHub is open to young people aged 18-30 who are not currently enrolled in training, education or employment ventures.

What are the program days and times?

The program starts at the end of January and runs until the end of November. Students are required to attend the program on-site Monday to Friday, 09h00 to 15h00. 

What about nationality?

While we focus on South African youth, we’re open to non-South Africans that are eligible to work in the country.

I don’t have Matric. Can I still apply?

Preferably, applicants would have completed Matric, but we would consider candidates who haven't graduated high school, depending on their overall fit for the program.

What high school subjects do I need?

You do not need any specific subjects to apply. 

What will I need to complete the program?

We provide onsite access to all the tools and equipment you need to complete the training. The program is challenging so access to a great support network of friends, partners, family and others will help in providing the psycho-social support you will need.

What kind of jobs can I pursue after the program?

The training we provide allows you to confidently apply for entry level jobs as a Digital Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, SEO, Website Development, Copy Writing, Email Marketing, Content Marketing etc.

How long is the program?

The program runs for 10 months from February until the end of November with a few short breaks in between. Excellent attendance is required to move between phases throughout the year.

How much does the program cost?

We provide this program for free, all we ask of you is full commitment and the right attitude.

What qualifications will I graduate the program with?

The program teaches a range of digital marketing skills accredited by internationally recognised institutions. You will acquire various badges as you progress through the training which are recognised within the digital marketing arena. This includes training in the Google Digital Skills, Hubspot, Facebook Blueprint, and more.

 

What are the requirements for completing the program?

We require excellent attendance, a program average of 70% or above and compliance with the iHub conduct policy.

Is the program the same each year?

We value and are committed to innovation and excellence so we continuously work to refine and develop the program. Moreover, given the dynamic nature of Digital Marketing, the training content is continuously updated to stay up to date with the industry.

Can I complete the course or study remotely?

The course requires all students to be attending classes in-person for each day of the week and is part of the acceptance criteria.

Where will the program take place?

Training happens daily at The Media Mill in Milpark, Johannesburg. Click here to view the location.

Can I work or study while doing the program?

A requirement for the program is that you attend every Monday to Friday, from 9am to 3pm. If your work or study is outside these hours, and you are able to attend and keep up with the workload, then yes. If you cannot sustain excellent attendance and grades, you will not be able to continue in the program.

Is there a stipend available?

No there is not. However, the program is free and provides valuable skills to young people while teaching incredible personal development skills. We do also provide up to 80% subsidy on travel expenses, on a case-by-case basis.

I have a small business. Can I still apply for the program?

You will be required to attend the program in person, Monday-Friday, 09h00 to 15h00 over the 10 months. If your business activities are outside these hours and will not affect your ability to be completely engaged and present, you are able to apply.

I have a degree or diploma. Can I still apply?

Yes you can, if you are not working or studying, and you are available to attend the program on-site full-time, for the full duration of the program.

I am not based in the province where the program runs, but I have family I can stay with for the length of the program. Can I still apply?

You will be required to attend the program in person, Monday-Friday, 09h00 to 15h00 over the 10 months. If relocating is feasible and can be sustained for the duration of the program, you can still apply. Note that candidates with healthy and supportive environments do better when the program gets challenging.
